17 new cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported only 17 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and eight recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Saturday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,662 while a total of 3,29,984 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7396 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Saturday was 0.12 per cent.
The state health department reported six new patients from Dehradun, three from Haridwar, two each from Nainital and Pithoragarh and one each from Chamoli, Pauri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi on Saturday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 173 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 94 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Tehri and Champawat have no active cases of the disease now.
In the ongoing vaccination drive 25,319 people were vaccinated in 723 sessions in the state held on Saturday.
