Ladakh panchayat representatives visit KVK and Kulhal village

The 40 Sarpanchs of the UT are on a training and exposure visit to the state.

The visiting group of the panchayat representatives from union Territory (UT) of Ladakh visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dhakrani in Kalsi and village Panchayat Kulhal on Saturday. The visiting group consisting of 40 Sarpanchs (heads of village Panchayats) are on a training and exposure visit to the state.

At KVK Dhakrani, the officer in charge A K Sharma welcomed the Sarpanchs of Ladakh.  Here the visiting group was given information about different varieties of crops, fruits, vegetable and herbs.

In Kulhal village of Kalsi block, the Panchayat representatives interacted with locals and officers and inquired about Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme, OSR, Self Help Groups (SHG) and the works being done by the local Panchayat. The Block Development Officer of Kargil, Ibrahim and District Panchayati Raj officer of Dehradun M Jafar Khan were present on the occasion.
