Tehri & Rudraprayag districts become free of active Covid cases
37 new Covid cases, 62 discharged in State on Monday
In a clear sign that the contagion of novel Coronavirus (Covid 19) is slowing down in the state especially in mountainous districts, Tehri and Rudraprayag became free of active cases of the disease on Monday. The state health department reported 37 cases of the disease on Monday which increased the tally of Covid-19 patients to 3161 in the state. The health department discharged 62 patients of the disease on the day after their recovery. A total of 2586 patients have been discharged in the state so far. The recovery rate from the disease is now at 81.81 per cent in Uttarakhand.
On Monday 20 patients of the disease were reported in Udham Singh Nagar district while five patients were found in Haridwar district. Four patients each were reported from Dehradun and Nainital districts. The authorities reported three patients in Almora and one patient in Pauri district.
In Dehradun 15 patients were discharged while 13 patients were discharged in Nainital district. In Haridwar seven patients were discharged while in Bageshwar six patients were released from hospitals. Five patients each were discharged from Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pauri districts.
Nainital had 179 active patients of the disease while 111 active cases are in Dehradun district. Udham Singh Nagar has 103 active cases while 28 active cases are in Almora district. Haridwar has 24, Uttarkashi 23, Bageshwar 12, Pauri nine, Champawat seven, Chamoli five and Pithoragarh has four active cases.
