State to provide interest free loan to farmers for farming equipment
Farmers will be provided agriculture loan at zero per cent rate of interest for farm equipment, said Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. The interest on such loans will be compensated for through revenue earned from mining, transport and power. Along with enhancing the convenience of farmers, this will also help them double their income, said Rawat. The CM made this announcement in Pauri on Monday.
In addition to launching the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana in Pauri, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation of various schemes worth Rs 107.73 crore.
Rawat also announced opening of NCC Academy at Devar in Kot block of Pauri district, construction of Lwali lake in Pauri, Rs 2 crore for beautification of Seeta temple at Falswadi, residential school for meritorious students at Jaiharikhal and construction of Ramkud Devprayag-Sabdarkhal-Kadekhal pumping scheme at the cost of Rs 19.11 crore among other developmental works.
Expressing concern at the condition of Pauri and Tehri districts, he said that the Government is drafting concrete plans for restoring the thriving life in these districts. Stressing that he does not believe in making hollow announcements, Rawat said that during his term so far he had made 103 announcements for Pauri district out of which 87 had been fulfilled while work is underway on the remaining 16 announcements.
While launching the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana from the new bus stand in Pauri, Rawat distributed the golden cards to the beneficiaries. He said that Uttarakhand had become the first State in the country to give free health security to its’ residents.
Under the scheme, free OPDs will soon start at registered hospitals for children and the old in the State. He said that dedicated air ambulance services will also start in the state from January 26.
Earlier, the CM attended the Bhoomi Pujan of BJP district office at Galla Godam area along with the party state president Ajay Bhatt, Minister of state Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Ritu Khanduri, Mukesh Koli and Dilip Rawat.
