The 35th state advisory committee meeting was held at the office of Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) on Monday during which the business plan along with tariff petitions for the financial year 2019-20, true-up for the financial year 2017-18 and the annual performance review for the financial year 2018-19 was placed by Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (UJVN) , Power Transmission Corporation Of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL), State Load Dispatch Centre Uttarakhand (SLDC) and Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL). All the members of the state advisory committee were present during the meeting and they gave their comments on the proposed tariffs of the aforesaid utilities.
While addressing the meeting, the chairman UERC heaped praise on the efforts made by all the power utilities for improvement in power supply in the state. It is learnt that the members of the committee raised matters pertaining to issues like the proposed tariff hike, capital expenditure, rate of interest and operational performance of the utilities and supply to which representative of utilities and officers of the commission replied accordingly.
The chairman UERC informed the committee that all the suggestions received from all the stakeholders, including the members of the committee, would be considered appropriately in the ARR tariff orders. He further said that the commission would try to issue the tariff order latest by February 28.
Besides the chairman Subhash Kumar, Neeraj Sati, secretary UERC, Deepak Pandey, director (Finance), Prabhat Dimri, director (Technical) and Rajnish Mathur, director (Costing/Licensing) were present while representing the commission.
This aside, Pankaj Gupta, Anil Prakash Joshi, B L Nautiyal, Sudha Arora, V K Garg were among those present as members of the advisory committee during the meeting. Managing director, UPCL, managing director, PTCUL and director (Operations), UJVN Ltd were also present at the meeting, as per the press release issued by UERC.
