Six deaths, 319 fresh cases of Covid-19 in U’khand
Cases pile up to 12,493, death toll 158 in state
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand scaled to 12493 on Monday with the state health department reporting 319 fresh cases of the disease. Deaths of six patients were also reported on the day which increased the death toll to 158 in the state. The authorities discharged 385 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on the day and the state now has a total of 8485 recovered patients which puts the recovery percentage at 67.92 percent. The doubling rate of the disease in Uttarakhand is at 28.95 days.
Four patients were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh on Monday. Here a 65 year old male, a 52 year old male, a 76 year old female and a 55 year old female were reported dead. Similarly an 85 year old male and a 32 year old male were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Monday.
The authorities reported 109 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Haridwar on Monday. Similarly 77 patients surfaced in Uttarkashi, 41 in Rudraprayag, 38 in Udham Singh Nagar, 23 in Nainital, 15 in Tehri, 10 in Dehradun and three patients were found in Bageshwar district. One patient each was reported from Chamoli, Champawat and Pithoragarh districts on the day.
The health department discharged 131 patients in Haridwar, 88 in Pauri, 83 in Udham Singh Nagar, 35 in Tehri, 16 in Dehradun, 12 in Pauri, 11 in Uttarkashi, four in Champawat, two in Rudraprayag and one in Pithoragarh district.
The state now has 3806 active patients of the disease with Haridwar at top of the table of active cases with 1071 cases. Udham Singh Nagar is at second place with 869 active cases of the disease. Dehradun has 533, Nainital 503, Uttarkashi 259, Tehri 169, Rudraprayag 90, Champawat 80, Chamoli 77, Almora 47, Pauri 43, Pithoragarh 41 and Bageshwar 24 active cases of the disease.
