SDSU Uni tasks hampered with 3 officers under home quarantine
The Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University has opened for official works following relaxations provided in the lockdown. However, the tasks are pending with many of the important university officials under home quarantine. The university’s deputy registrar, examination controller and assistant examination controller are under home quarantine after returning from the Orange zone district of Dehradun to the headquarters at Badshahithaul in Green zone district of Tehri. This has hampered works related to admissions in the new session, examination, central evaluation, preparation of academic calendar among other tasks.
It is pertinent to mention here that this university functions with seven officers and staff provided through Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL). With three of the seven officers under home quarantine, expediting important tasks has become a challenge for the university. The university has to prepare the prospectus and academic calendar as per the University Grants Commission guidelines. The central evaluation stalled due to the lockdown has to be resumed and the results also have to be declared on time. Having stayed at the camp office during the lockdown, the university vice chancellor PP Dhyani is conducting the general tasks of the university. Dhyani said that three officers being home quarantined has affected important tasks of the university. All efforts will be made to complete the important tasks on time, he added.
