To participate in the famous Jhanda Fair, the devotees from different parts of the country have arrived in Dehradun. On Monday, the Sangats ( groups of devotees) were given ‘Gurumantra’ by Mahant Devendra Dass.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the person who follows the path described by Guru, attains the feeling of heaven while being on earth.
Informing about the programme the manager of Jhande Fair Management Committee, K C Juyal that the Fair would start at 8 am on Tuesday when the old holy flag pole will be brought down. The Sangat devotees will then give a bath of milk, curd, butter, Gangajal and ‘panchgavyon’ to new mast. Later in the day the ceremony on putting covers ( GIlafs) over the new flag pole would be held and between 4 to 5 pm in the evening the new pole would be ceremoniously hoisted.
CM EXTENDS GREETINGS ON JHANDA FAIR
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has extended his greetings toresidents of the state on the occasion of ‘Jandha Fair. In a message, he said that ‘Jhanda Fair’ is a perfect example of love, brotherhood, communal harmony, humanity and trust.
The CM said teachings of Guru Ram Rai are followed by his devotees across the country. He appealed to the residents of the state to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood in the future also. Chief Minister Rawat has said that every section of the society should contribute for the overall development of the state.
