PM terming Cong manifesto ‘Dhakosla’ insulting the poor- Pritam
Taking exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi terming the election manifesto of Congress party as ‘Dhakosla’ (sham), the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief, Pritam Singh has termed it as an insult of the poor. He said that it is unfortunate that PM is not happy with the prosperity of poor and farmers of the country which Congress manifesto intends. Taking a dig on PM’s claim for being honest, he asked- “then why PM is shying away from ordering an inquiry in the Rafale fighter plane deal?” Singh accused BJP of using Army’s valour and sacrifice as a shield for failure of its government. He said that Modi has expertise in spreading lies and misleading the people. “In the assembly elections of 2017, he misleads the people of Uttarakhand by ‘double engine’ rhetoric and he is trying to repeat the trick again,’’ he said.
On Modi’s accusation that Congress would shelve Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), the PCC president said that it was Modi government which removed the act from Tripura, Meghalaya and parts of Arunachal Pradesh and when Congress is talking about review of the act, a huge hue and cry is being raised by the BJP.
