One Lakh to attend PM’s Rally: Bhatt
Announcing the programmes to be organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the current month, the party’s state president Ajay Bhatt averred that about one lakh people would attend prime minister Narendra Modi’s public address at Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar on February 14. He further informed that the Trishakti Sammelan in Srinagar has been postponed from February 9 to February 16.
Bhatt said that the BJP commemorates Pundit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s death anniversary on February 11 as Samarpan Diwas. On the occasion, party workers and supporters will donate according to their capacity for the party. From February 12 to March 2, the party will hold the “Mera Parivar BJP Parivar” campaign as part of which the party workers and supporters will place party flags and stickers at their homes. He further informed that preliminary preparations have been started for prime minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Uttarakhand on February 14. The PM is slated to participate in a government programme and address a large public gathering which is expected to be attended by about one lakh people, said Bhatt.
The BJP state president further said that the Trishakti Sammelan for Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency to be held in Srinagar has been postponed from February 9 to 16. Union minister Thaawar Chand Gehlot and chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will be the main speakers in this programme. The Trishakti Sammelan on February 9 in Haldwani and on February 16 in Almora will be held as planned. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be the chief guest in Haldwani while Union minister of State for External Affairs, VK Singh will be the chief guest in Almora. On February 26, the party will hold the Kamal Jyoti Sankalp programme as part of which, earthen lamps will be lit in the homes of the beneficiaries of government schemes, added Bhatt.
Spirits buoyed by PM’s proposed visit
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Uttarakhand on February 14 has further buoyed the spirits of the Bharatiya Janata Party workers.
The enthusiasm and atmosphere now is akin to the wave in favour of Modi and BJP in 2014, said chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Speaking to media persons, the chief minister said that the PM may attend the launch of a developmental scheme worth Rs 3340 crore under the cooperative sector and also address the public at Rudrapur.
