Saksham walkathon was organised here to create awareness about energy conservation and to spread the message of clean and green energy. A large number of ONGC employees, senior citizens, students and teachers from various schools participated in the walk. Covering a distance of about five kilometres, the walk started at ONGC Tel Bhawan and passed through various localities before concluding at the starting point.
Speaking as the chief guest, the Cantt board chief executive officer Tanu Jain said that ONGC is committed to clean and green energy and has made considerable efforts in promoting energy conservation while contributing to the energy security of India.
ONGC corporate administration headRS Narayani urged everyone to adopt energy conservation techniques in day to day life and become eco-friendly for the future generation.
A pledge for commitment to conserve energy for the future generation was administered by Jain and Narayani on the occasion.
