OFFICERS SHOULD COME OUT WITH NEW IDEAS, EXHORTS CM

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has invited government officers to come out with innovative ideas. He made this statement while speaking at a programme in which he unveiled foundations stones for various developmental projects of Rajpur Assembly here on Thursday. The CM said that the officers should come out with new ideas for progress of the state and approach him directly. Rawat said the Fish Market located in Paltan Bazaar area would soon be shifted.
Reiterating the commitment of his government against corruption, the CM said that in last one year the Government has taken stringent measures against corruption, financial indiscipline and corruption in transfer postings in the state. He said that the corruption should not be termed as mere leakage of the system but should be treated as theft. Rawat said that in last 11 months, the revenue from mining has increased by 28 percent and loss of power sector has been reduced substantially. He claimed that the loss incurring transport department is now a profit making entity.
The CM said that his office is taking prompt action on the complaints received in mobile App, Facebook. Twitter, Samadhan Portal and 1905 toll free number. The mobile App TSR has become popular among the youths, he said. Rawat assured that Dehradun would get gravity water from Song dam project and it would save power worth Rs65 crores annually. He added that work on gravity based water supply is going on at Pithoragarh, Pauri, Almora and Gairsain. The Suryadhar project of Dehradun would provide gravity water 43 villages.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth Rs14.72 Crore on the occasion. The state minister for higher education Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Khajan Das and Umesh Sharma Kau were present on the occasion.
