Nishank stresses on scriptural research in Gurukul Kangri
Research activities must be enhanced by amalgamating Vedas, Puranas with science in Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya which is naturally blessed with knowledge resources and has the largest and oldest repository of knowledge in Asia, said the union Human Resource Development minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during foundation stone laying ceremony of SC ST hostel of the university in Haridwar on Thursday morning.
Addressing the students Nishank said that the study of Vedas and scriptures must be implemented in this university and the university must become the centre of knowledge and science. He said western countries have spoken highly of our science of Vastu Shastra. New researches must be done uniting science with astrology. He said the university had given lots of scholars and eminent persons.
He exhorted the students to be at the top and enhance their competitiveness so that they are never left out in race to excel in competitive world.
The chancellor of Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Satya Pal Singh, along AICTE chairman professor Anil D Sahasrbudhe laid the foundation stone of the hostel. The university’s vice chancellor professor Roop Kishore Shastri said that in tune with PM’s mission, single use plastic was banned in the university campus.
