Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana portal launched for online applications
After being inaugurated by chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on May 28, the Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana (MSY) is now enabled for online applications. The website of the scheme msy.uk.gov.in was launched on Tuesday.
The chief minister’s information technology advisor Ravindra Datt informed that the MSY website is hosted at the state’s government’s data centre in the IT Park.
Those seeking to apply online under the scheme, have to register on the website and generate a log-in ID. Using this ID to log in, the applicant will have to fill in personal details including educational qualification, mobile number, PAN number along with the proposed unit, product/service, investment and other related details. The application can be filled in either Hindi or English.
It will be recalled that the CM had launched this scheme on May 28. It is aimed at encouraging self employment among the enterprising youth and migrants returning to the state due to Covid-19. Under this scheme, skilled and unskilled workers, craftsmen and unemployed youth will be encouraged to start their own business. Loan facility will be made available to the beneficiaries through nationalised banks, scheduled commercial banks and cooperative banks. The MSME department will provide margin money amount as a grant under this scheme. The maximum cost for manufacturing project will be Rs 25 lakh while the limit for service project will be Rs 10 lakh. As per the MSME policy, the maximum limit of margin money will be 25 per cent of the total project cost in A category, 20 per cent in B category and 15 per cent in D category. Further, beneficiaries will have to deposit 10 per cent of the total project cost as contribution in the general category and five per cent in the special category.
