For excellent work at the district level in the sphere of e-governance, the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) vice chairman and Tehri district magistrate will be receiving medals from the Government of India. The two officials have been selected for the national e-governance award for the year 2018-19.
The awards will be received by the MDDA vice chairman Ashish Kumar Srivastav and Tehri district magistrate Sonika in New Delhi on February 27.
According to officials, Srivastav will be receiving a gold medal for MDDA enterprises resource planning (ERP) project while Sonika will receive a silver medal for Hello Doctor 555 service.
The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed happiness at Srivastav and Sonika being selected for the honour in view of their appreciable efforts in their respective fields.
Rawat said that others will also get motivated by officials being honoured for such novel efforts while the general public will also receive better facilities.
It is a matter of pride that the State has been selected for gold and silver medals out of various works done by states in the sphere of e-governance. The Hello Doctor service has been used by 441 persons within one month with eight types of facilities being provided under the system. These include consultation provided by doctor, medicine, emergency ambulance, referral and health check up, equipment for the differently abled and other facilities.
