UMSSB releases the recruitment advertisement
The state health services of Uttarakhand would soon get 763 medical officers (MO). On the directive of the state government, the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB) has released the recruitment advertisement for these posts. The interested candidates would have to submit their application forms on the website of UMSSB till August 31. Out of 763 posts, 25 are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), 143 for Other Backward Castes (OBC) and 107 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) while 251 posts would be unreserved. The candidates should be between 21 to 42 years of age on July 1. An examination fee of Rs 2000 would have to be paid by candidates of General and OBC categories while for others the fee is Rs 1000. The chairman of the UMSSB, Dr D S Rawat said that the examination schedule is of 100 marks out of which interview would be of 50 marks. The marks obtained in the MBBS degree would have a weightage of 20 marks; the additional degree (PG and diploma) would have 10 marks. Apart from them the work experience would also be counted and a weightage of 20 marks would be given to it. The selected MO would be inducted in the pay scale of 56100- 177500 (level 10) of state health services.
It is pertinent to mention here that UMSSB had recruited more than 400 MOs for the state health services in the month of April this year. In view of the outbreak of the Covid-19, the state government had given permission to the board to recruit 276 more doctors than the advertised posts last year.
