Govt & party to publicise welfare measures & important decisions
It is vital for the public to know about the various decisions taken by the government in public interest. Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said this while attending a meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party state president Bansidhar Bhagat and other party leaders at his residence on Thursday.
The meeting saw detailed discussion on the decisions taken by the government in view of Covid-19. The CM said that the state government has taken various important decisions during its three year term in office so far. The government and party organisation are jointly responsible for ensuring that the public knows about these decisions. Rawat said that there is a need for timely and effective dissemination of such information to the public. The cooperation of all should be taken in this task. Further, the CM said that it is also important for all office bearers of the party from the lower levels to the top, MLAs and position holders are aware of the government’s achievements. The MLAs should also be aware of the development works undertaken in their constituencies.
Referring to Covid-19, he said that the government has taken effective measures to control the contagion. These steps include expansion of health facilities, attempt to facilitate self-employment for natives returning to the state, free ration to the poor and needy, expanding the cover of Atal Ayushman scheme to include treatment in noted hospitals outside the state and providing easy loans for self employment among other decisions. During the meeting it was decided that the works of the government will be publicised through virtual meetings with MPs, ministers and office bearers being allotted responsibilities for the same. Urban Development minister Madan Kaushik, State minister for Higher Education, Dhan Singh Rawat, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, BJP general secretary (organisation) Ajey Kumar, general secretary Raju Bhandari and Kuldeep Kumar were also present in the meeting.
