The Indian Red Cross Society, Pauri organised a programme on the occasion of World Health Day in government inter college, Ujjayar on Thursday. The district’s chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Praveen Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion. The event organisers distributed blankets, sanitizers, masks and other items to the local public on the occasion. The society secretary Keshar Singh Aswal said that the society distributes the necessary articles to needy persons from time to time and stressed that this will be continued in the future.
Addressing the gathering, the CMO said that the government is undertaking various health related projects and every person should derive the benefit of these plans.He said that at present people are facing various serious problems like Covid-19, pollution, cardiac issues and other ailments. It is all the more important to be aware of health in such a situation.Focusing on various aspects for good health, he also stressed on the importance of cleanliness.
