As part of State Government’s effort to prepare students for competitive examination, a ‘Super 100’ programme was inaugurated by the Education Minister, Arvind Pandey on Monday.
In a ceremony organised at Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Nanoorkheda in Dehradun on Monday, the minister congratulated the Director General (DG) school education and the education department for conceiving and starting ‘Super 100’ programme.
In his address, Pandey exhorted the students to work hard so that best results emanate out from the programme. He expressed hope that better results from the initiative would help in alleviating the level of education in the state. The minister assured the students that the state government is prepared to provide every possible facility to them.
The Director General education and state project director, Samagra Shiksha, Jyoti Yadav said that the participating students have been motivated that the course would help them in achieving their goals. She exuded confidence that the ‘Super 100’ programme would be able to achieve the purpose for which is started.
Yadav added that the department officials, faculty members and personnel have been directed that they should ensure that high standard of education is maintained during the programme. Similarly, the officials have been asked to provide best reading material, nutritious food, lodging facility, safety, sanitation and health to the students, she added.
In his address the director Education, R K Kunwar said that the students should set up high standards for them and then study in a dedicated manner in order to achieve the target.The additional project director Samgra Shiksha, S B Joshi informed that 96 boys and 96 girls have so far registered for the course and the process of registration is open.
In the ‘Super 100’ programme, meritorious students from every block have been selected. In the course 100 days of crash course would be provided to these students. The course aims to prepare students for competitive examinations.
The programme was also attended by joint project director, Manju Bharati, Principal Rahiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidhyalaya Sanjiv Sundariyal, deputy directors, Sanjiv Joshi, Sohan Singh Majila and faculty members Saurav Kumar, SP Singh, Pramod Kumar Sati.
