CONGRESS SLAMS BJP FOR SCRAPPING MINORITY RELATED PROJECTS
Monday, 12 March 2018 | PNS | Dehradun-
State Congress chief Pritam Singh alleged that the Centre and the State Government are scrapping all the schemes meant for the welfare of the minority community launched by the previous Congress-helmed Governments in the Centre and State.
“The people are all set to give the ruling BJP a severe drubbing during the forthcoming local body election,” he said while addressing programme organised by Congress minority cell at Town Hall in Dehradun on Sunday.
He reiterated his party’s commitment to the welfare of the minority community people and said that the state is moving backward in every index of development since the BJP-helmed Government assumed reign of the state. “The farmers and the traders are bearing the brunt of the anti-people policies of the BJP Governments in the Centre and the State.
Transporters are committing suicides because of the GST. We would approach the people of all sections during the electioneering for the upcoming local body election,” the Congress leader said.
Dwelling on the crumbling law and order situation, he said that things were going from bad to worse. “A mayor was targeted as the police are dancing to the tune of the ruling party-backed goons. We are sure that the people are readying to make the ruling party to bite the dust at the hustings,” Singh said.
