The Congress has lost its sense of vision and comprehension. This is why it is accusing the state government of failing to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic at a time when Uttarakhand is third in the nation in the fight against the pandemic, said the Bharatiya Janata Party state vice president Devendra Bhasin.
He said that even the Centre is appreciating the manner in which the state government is tackling the pandemic. The state government effectively facilitated the return of natives from various states and is also strongly facing the challenge of ensuring proper treatment of the Covid infected persons. The BJP too is standing with the government with a sense of service and cooperation. However, the Congress has been trying to weaken the fight against Covid since the beginning and is doing so even now. Using various excuses, the Congress is staging demonstrations on the roads and hampering the government’s work while also encouraging the spread of the virus. This clearly shows that the Congress is with Covid in the fight against the pandemic, opined Bhasin.
He further said that the Congress is unable to digest the success being achieved in the fight against the pandemic under the leadership of chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. “The CM held more than a dozen cabinet meetings regarding Covid, toured various parts of the states, inspected Covid care centres and constantly remained in touch with various Central and state ministers. However, the Congress has and is still working to spread Covid,” said the BJP state vice president. Referring to the PCC president Pritam Singh’s allegation that the State government is caged with the CM not venturing out of his home, Bhasin said that Singh is making such comments because his own party leaders have pushed him to the side.
