Terming the election manifesto ‘Hum Nibhaenge’ for the Lok Sabha elections of 2019, released by the Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, as historic, the Vice President of the state congress Surya Kant Dhasmana said that Congress party on coming to power would ensure that 150 days of employment per year is provided under MNREGS. He said a separate budget for farmers would be brought on the lines of the railway budget. Interacting with the media persons Dhasmana said that in the manifesto of Congress party has said that criminal proceeding would not be initiated against farm loan defaulters. He said that the Congress governments of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh waived off the farm loans within ten days assuming office as promised by Congress president. Claiming that Congress party never makes false promises, he said that the promise of transferring an amount of Rs 72000 per year in the account of poor would be fulfilled by the party. The party on coming to power would bring the economy of the country back on track which has got derailed by GST and demonetisation. Dhasmana said that the Congress would fill all the 22 lakh vacant posts in government within one year and provide jobs to 10 lakh youth in the village Panchayats. Terming the decision to bring a separate budget for farmers as appreciable, the Congress leader said that the farmers should know what budget is provided to them and what would be the minimum support price (MSP). He said that the Congress party would strengthen the health and education sector. Dhasmana expressed happiness on the promise that an inquiry on Rafale fighter jet deal would be ordered on very first day by the Congress government. He said that the BJP should table an account of five years of its rule along with releasing its election manifesto.
Heaping praises on the election manifesto of Congress, the spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni termed it as ‘Blue print of new India’. She said that the Rahul Gandhi in the manifesto has given priority to the farmers and youth and put a reassuring hand on the shoulders of the poor who were exploited most during the Modi regime. Terming ‘Nyuntam Ayay Yojana’ (NYAY) as second biggest public welfare scheme after MNREGS she said that for the first time in the history a separate budget for farmers would be made. She said that the decision to spend six percent of GDP on education would give a major boost to education in the country which will help in making the future of the youth bright. Dasauni said that the BJP which is anti poor and communal party is spreading confusion about availability of budget for the NYAY scheme under which a sum of Rs 72000 would be transferred in the bank account of 20 percent population of the country.
