Cong goes ballistic over defence minister’s virtual rally
Rajnath skipped important issues of unemployment and economy: Harish Rawat
Dhasmana slams CM for claim of fulfilling 85 % of promises
The Uttarakhand Congress has slammed the virtual rally of defence minister Rajnath Singh which he addressed on Monday. Terming the rally airy -fairy Former chief minister Harish Rawat said it had nothing for Uttarakhand. He said that the defence minister said nothing on the issue of unemployment which is a major problem in Uttarakhand and people are reeling under it. Rawat said that Rajnath Singh also skipped to address the economic condition of Uttarakhand which is in shambles. The former CM said that Nepal and China are regularly creating problems and it was expected that the defence minister of the country would talk tough but sadly it was missing from his speech today.
Launching an acrid attack on the BJP, the Vice President of Uttarakhand unit of Congress party, Surya Kant Dhasmana said that at a time when a pandemic hit country is demanding hospitals and treatment from Covid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party is serving speeches to the country. Talking to the media persons at the headquarters of Congress party here on Monday, Dhasmana said that the speech of defence minister Rajnath Singh was nothing but a narrative of praises for PM Modi. He said that the defence minister said that India has deep rooted people to people relations with Nepal is laughable since Nepal has not only made its claim over Indian territory but also shown these areas in its official map which has been approved by the Nepalese parliament. He said that the Modi government has failed miserably in its foreign policy as all the neighbours have become hostile. Dhasmana claimed that China has intruded deep into the country. Dhasmana added that the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat made a false claim that his government has fulfilled 85 percent of the promises made in the manifesto of BJP for the elections of 2017. Dhasmana claimed that the BJP government has not even fulfilled five percent of its promises. He added that the BJP government has not given a single employment in the last three years. He also took a dig at the president of state unit of BJP Bansidhar Bhagat who in his speech addressed Rajnath Singh as home minister instead of Defence minister. Dhasmana said that the virtual rally was nothing but a bundle of lies and the people of Uttarakhand would give a fitting reply to the BJP at appropriate time.
