Conference on infrastructural development held at UPES
An online national conference on ‘sustainable infrastructure development: innovations and advances’ (SIDIA 2020) was organised at UPES recently.
The event was organised by the Department of Health, Safety, Environment and Civil Engineering (HSE) and school of engineering.
Informing about the event the Senior Director of UPES, Arun Dhand, said that the conference aimed at facilitating an open dialogue and discussion between the various stakeholders in the sphere of civil engineering.
Welcoming the guests and the participants, the Program Director, HSE and Civil Engineering Department, UPES Nihal Anwar Siddiqui highlighted the importance of such events as a platform for planning sustainable growth in the future.
Addressing the participants, the chief guest, MP Jain emphasized upon the importance of sustainability from the civil engineering perspective and stressed on the significance of the various provisions and frameworks needed for engineering activities including planning and construction.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) of UPES, Sunil Rai congratulated the HSE and Civil Engineering department for the successful conference.
