Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the e-collectorate system in Dehradun on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that as per the requirements of the time, it is important to maximise the use of technology. The e-collectorate system will not only prove more convenient to the citizens but will also save time and prevent unnecessary visits to the offices.The CM said that the e-office system will also further enhance transparency in official works. Efforts are also being made to start the e-office system in other departments. Rawat also congratulated the Dehradun district administration for starting the e-collectorate system a week before the set period.
The Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava informed that the e-collectorate system has been started with the help of Dehradun Smart City Limited, ITDA and NIC. All sections of the collectorate have been connected to this system. With this, all the sections of the collectorate will work through the e-collectorate system. The field staff of the revenue department will also work on this system. Along with enhancing transparency, this system will also enable fixing the responsibility of the officer and employee concerned to complete the task within a given time frame. The DM said that work would be done at the Tehsil and development block level in the second phase of e-office system.
The CM’s IT adviser Ravindra Datt, Garhwal commissioner Ravinath Raman, ITDA director Amit Sinha, Smart City CEO Ranvir Singh Chauhan and other officials concerned were also present on the occasion.
