A total of 49 staff members of the Century Pulp and Paper Mill were accorded a warm send off on their retirement from the company here on the weekend.
In the programme organised to honour the employees on their retirement, the long time employees shared their experiences of working in the mill.
They also interacted with the new and younger employees of the mill and exhorted them to remain dedicated to their work.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Century Pulp and Paper mill Chief Operating Officer JP Narain said that the mill will always remain indebted to its employees and workers for taking this paper business to great heights with their sincere hard work.
He further said that in the present times, the industries also need to progress in order to facilitate the development of the nation.
As a result, while the employees will be happy, the nation will also prosper, he said.
Senior officers of the mill Vijay Dhiman and SD Bahuguna, addressing the employees retiring, said that it was due to the dedication of these employees to their work that the mill had progressed considerably.
Wishing them well for their future, they presented mementos and shawls to the employees who retired on the occasion. The representatives of various labour organisations also expressed their views on the occasion.
Various senior officials of the mill including AK Mishra, Naresh Chandra and others were also among those who were present in the programme.
