Bhagat says his comment on Modi being distorted out of context
The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Banshidhar Bhagat has stated that some television news channels are presenting his statements related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a distorted manner and out of context.
He said, “The world acknowledges that the PM is a leader of the masses and among the leading and most influential leaders of the world. Internally, India is today on the path of major changes and progress at a time when respect accorded by the international community to the nation is high. This is because of PM Modi’s leadership.”
Bhagat said that he had advised the MLAs to further increase their activity in their constituencies to further strengthen their public support. The party will contest the next elections on the basis of the achievements of the Central and State governments. He said, “We have to inform the public about the major projects being executed in Uttarakhand due to the PM’s consideration and the achievements of the state government. For this, increasing the interaction with the public more will be useful and effective. The BJP will win the next Vidhan Sabha election with a strong majority and form the government in the state. The party has started preparing for the elections,” he said.
It will be recalled that responding to questions by the electronic media earlier, Bhagat had said that relying only on the Modi wave will not be enough to win the election. The MLAs should become more active in their constituencies. The performance of the MLAs will also be a crucial factor, he had said.
