Ardours validation exercise in KAZIND – 2019 starts
120 soldiers of both Indian and Kazakhstan Army moved to nearby jungles of Pithoragarh district to take part in the 48 hour long exercise.
The 48 hour long and most important part of the ongoing joint military exercise of India and Kazakhstan,-KAZIND- 2019-, the Validation exercise commenced on Saturday.
In the validation exercise, 120 soldiers of both Indian and Kazakhstan Army moved to nearby jungles of Pithoragarh district to take part in the 48 hour long exercise.
The validation exercise was witnessed by Chief of Staff of Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Major General Daulat Ospanav and Chief of Staff of Headquarters, Uttar Bharat Area, Major General Kabindra Singh. The 12 day long KAZIND Exercise will culminate on October 14.
“During the validation exercise, both the Armies will validate the drills and other nuances involved in joint operations while conducting Cordon and Search and Search and destroy mission as part of counter terrorist operations. The joint operations will also validate house entry drills and neutralisation of terrorists. An Engineer Bomb disposal squad is also part of the exercise which will carry out validation of diffusion of Improvised Explosive Devices placed by terrorists,’’ said an official communiqué.The fourth Indo -Kazakhstan joint military exercise is being conducted at Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. The KAZIND- 2019 is the fourth joint exercise between India and Kazakhstan and it aims to train troops of both countries in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations in both the forest and mountainous terrains.
