Akhilesh Yadav may visit U’khand after March 25 to campaign
In order to woo the voters for his party which is contesting from the Garhwal seat, the Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav is all set to visit Uttarakhand any day after March 25 and address rallies. The former state SP president and the party’s coordinator Satyanarayan Sachan said on Wednesday that the day of the visit would be confirmed after the announcement of the candidate.
Sachan further said, “As per the seat-sharing arrangement reached by our party with BSP, we would contest from one seat-Garhwal-while the BSP would contest from the other four seats of the state. We are working together to help the alliance come out with flying colour in the poll. After the names of the candidates are announced we would plunge headlong into the campaigning along the activists and the leaders of our ally.”
Speaking more of the expected visit of the national president of the party Akhilesh Yadav to the state to campaign, he said that the leader would come any day after the name of the candidate for the Garhwal seat is announced. Queried over whether he would campaign for BSP candidates too, he said he was not in a position to say anything on the matter. “Akhilesh Yadav is likely to come any day after March 25. We are making preparations for the meeting,” Sachan said and added that the party along with its ally BSP would go full throttle to give the Congress and the BJP a run for their money in the upcoming poll.
