In relief to those engaged in commercial activities, the oil marketing companies slashed the price of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders by Rs 19 per cylinder with immediate effect. Touted as election bonanza, the oil marketing companies earlier reduced the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 30.50 on April 1. Notably, they had increased the price by Rs 25.50 in March and Rs 14 in February while on January 1, the price had been reduced marginally by Rs 1.50.
