In latest news from Dehradun, discussions have been held on as many as 30 proposals during the cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat. The discussed matters include civic bodies and urban development, expansion of the areas of Narendra Nagar and Kirtinagar, inclusion of three villages within the limits of municipalities, the declaration of Ghat block of Chamoli district and Munsiyari of Pithoragarh district as nagar panchayats, increases in the amounts to be given to the next of kin of the deceased in human-wild life conflict and in the same for the seriously injured and injured, expansion of Rudraprayag municipality limit with inclusion of some villages, boosting tourism activities in Bhimtaal area and sports policy in view of the 2024 National Games slated to be held in Uttarakhand.
