Six deaths reported from AIIMS -Rishikesh. Tally of the disease mounts to 12961 in state.
The spike in the graph representing the number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand is continuing its northward trend. The state health department reported 497 fresh cases of the disease on Tuesday which increased the tally of Covid-19 in the state to 12961.
Deaths of six patients were also reported on the day which increased the death toll to 164 in the state. The authorities discharged 239 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on the day and the state now has a total of 8724 recovered patients which puts the recovery percentage at 67.31 percent. The doubling rate of the disease in Uttarakhand is at 30.90 days.
Incidentally all six deaths reported on Tuesday are from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh. Here a 63 year old male, a 61 year old male, a 60 year old male, 57 year male, 41 year male and a 31 year old female were reported dead.
The authorities reported 105 fresh cases of Covid-19 from Udham Singh Nagar on Tuesday. Similarly 99 and 98 patients surfaced in Dehradun and Haridwar districts respectively. The authorities found 42 patients in Tehri, 39 in Pauri, 22 in Champawat, 10 in Bageshwar, eight in Uttarkashi, four in Almora and one each in Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag district.
The health department discharged 117 patients in Udham Singh Nagar, 56 in Dehradun, 29 in Nainital, 17 in Tehri, 10 in Almora, six in Pauri, two each in Rudraprayag and Chamoli districts.
The state now has 4024 active patients of the disease with Haridwar at top of the table of active cases with 1137 cases. Udham Singh Nagar is at second place with 857 active cases of the disease. Dehradun and Nainital have 572 active patients each, Uttarkashi 267, Tehri 194, Champawat 102, Chamoli 75, Pauri 71, Rudraprayag 60, Pithoragarh 42, Almora 41 and Bageshwar 34 active cases of the disease.
