Tally mounts to 15,124 in state, death toll touches 200 figure mark
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand scaled to 15124 on Sunday with the state health department reporting 495 fresh cases of the disease. Deaths of five patients were also reported on the day which increased the death toll to 200 in the state. The authorities discharged 459 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on the day and the state now has a total of 10480 recovered patients which puts the recovery percentage at 69.29 percent. The doubling rate of the disease in Uttarakhand is at 25.26 days.
Two patients each were reported dead at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Sushila Tiwari government hospital on Sunday. In AIIMS, a 66 year old female and a 64 year old male expired while a 50 year old male and a 40 year old female were reported dead at Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Sunday. A 67 year old male died at District hospital Uttarkashi.
The authorities reported 249 fresh cases of Covid-19 in Udham Singh Nagar district on Sunday.
Similarly 106 patients surfaced in Haridwar, 66 in Dehradun, 18 in Pauri, 14 in Nainital, 10 in Rudraprayag, nine in Chamoli, six each in Bageshwar and Tehri, four each in Almora and Champawat and three in Pithoragarh district on Sunday.
The health department discharged 150 patients in Udham Singh Nagar, 99 in Uttarkashi, 76 in Haridwar, 50 in Nainital, 33 in Dehradun, 20 in Chamoli, 14 in Almora, five in Tehri, four each in Champawat and Bageshwar and one in Tehri district. The state now has 4389 active patients of the disease with Udham Singh Nagar at top the table of active cases with 1149 cases. Haridwar is at second spot with 1024 and Dehradun at third spot with 807 active patients of the disease.
