Tally mounts to 10432 in state; 6470 recovered; two patients die on Tuesday
The number of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand scaled to 10432 on Tuesday with the state health department reporting 411 fresh cases of the disease. Deaths of two patients were also reported on the day which increased the death toll to 136 in the state. The authorities discharged 169 patients from different hospitals after their recovery on Tuesday. The state now has a total of 6470 recovered patients which puts the recovery percentage at 62.02 percent. The doubling rate of the disease in Uttarakhand is at 23.82 days.
A 75 year old male expired at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh while a 33 year old male was reported dead at Sushila Tiwari Government Hospital Haldwani on the day.
The authorities reported 143 patients in Haridwar, 82 in Dehradun, 49 in Nainital, 39 in Tehri, 36 in Almora, 32 in Udham Singh Nagar, 10 in Uttarkashi, nine in Pauri, eight in Champawat and three in Rudraprayag district on the day. The administration discharged 53 patients in Haridwar, 26 in Nainital, 24 in Dehradun, 23 in Pithoragarh, 14 each in Bageshwar and Udham Singh Nagar, four each in Almora and Chamoli, three in Champawat and Uttarkashi districts.
The state now has 3787 active patients of the disease with Haridwar removing Udham Singh Nagar from the top position in the table of active cases with 1104 cases. Udham Singh Nagar is now at second place with 1054 active cases of the disease. Nainital is in third position with 595 active cases while Dehradun is in fourth position with 411 active patients of Covid 19. Uttarkashi has 146, Tehri 114, Pithoragarh 89, Pauri 70, Almora 66, Champawat 65, Rudraprayag 28 active cases of Covid-19. Bageshwar district with 18 active patients is at the bottom of the table.
The administration has set up 479 containment zones to prevent the spread of the disease. In Haridwar district alone 399 containment zones have been set up. Udham Singh Nagar district has 37, Nainital 27, Dehradun seven, Champawat four, Tehri and Uttarkashi two each and Bageshwar one containment zones.
