Jittery in the aftermath of the suicide by a transporter and also over the CM office purportedly being inundated with similar threats, Dehradun police detained a transporter identified as Sanjay Bisht, resident of Rampur in Nainital district, who had announced suicidal bid along with other transporters on Friday at the CM’s residence through a circulated video, from Hathibadkala in Dehradun on Thursday.
As per intelligence report, Bisht was detained after reports of Bisht heading to meet the CM who was present at a national seminar on women held at the CM’s camp office came. Though the transporters have been agitating for the past one month the state government has remained apathetic, he alleged in the video the circulation of which created ripples in the administration and police.
Bisht further purportedly alleged that the banks are seizing the vehicles purchased with loan. Things are turning worse as the administration is not allowing mining twice a day as per the norms.
